I was deeply saddened to read about the earthquake that struck Chile early this morning. News coverage and photos are available on several outlets. The quake reached an 8.8 on the Richter scale and killed at least 147 people, with the death toll expected to rise. Hawaii, New Zealand, British Columbia, and many others are on tsunami watch.
Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected and their families.
